Badlands Guitars is one of the friendliest independent shops you will find, run by Graham & Suzy who are Brightonians and have been involved with guitars and the local music scene for over 30 years. Our shop in Preston Road is Brighton's longest established music store with a 25 year history which started in the 80's as Impact Music. Badlands also run MusoNet Brighton, a totally free local network card for musicians of all ages and abilities offering discount on new goods, plus further discounts and privileges with participating local music related businesses.
Our business is based on good old fashioned service and value with a personal approach to all customers, young and old(er) novice or pro, we are here to encourage music at every level.

The scheme builds a close community between music related businesses and musicians of all ages from the South.
WHAT?
The organisation is set up and run by Badlands Guitars along with local companies and individuals
to promote and support the music industry at every level.
WHO?
MusoNet is managed and funded by Badlands Guitars Ltd supported by local businesses and individuals.
WHY?
MusoNet is here to support all aspects of the music scene in and around
the Brighton area including shows, competitions, live performances,
supply of equipment, band promotion, tuition, recording and more. The
scheme is aimed at every musician/singer from young to old, starter to
pro.
WHERE?
Just about everywhere in Brighton! MusoNet will be involved with
established musicians of all ages plus youth groups, schools and
colleges, new and established venues, pubs and clubs, studios and more!
CAN IT HELP YOU?
YES!! If you have any interest or association with music MusoNet will
be a priceless resource. From offering goods at discount through to
recording contracts, or simple advice MusoNet has something for
everyone.
How is the scheme going to work?
Dedicated and professional local music companies are working together to support the network, and each member is offering an incentive to card holders.
We
will look to these outlets & individuals for support of the network
by signing up as members and being entered into the MusoNet directory on this site.
Who are “cardholders”?
Cards will be issued free of charge and valid for 12 months to any local based
musicians, we will actively recruit from all areas of our local music network including schools, youth groups, music
colleges and facilities in the area to help support the up and coming
musicians. We will also widely advertise the benefits of the network to
adults and target existing players of all levels.
Becoming
a cardholder will open up a wide range of services and privileges while
promoting the signed members businesses. The system will work by cardholders and
members networking across all of the music related outlets. A regular
community will build with cardholders staying loyal to MusoNet outlets.
